What is Game Design?

The Diploma in Game Design at Design ManiaaC covers the complete game art production pipeline across four structured semesters — starting from the first sketch of a character concept through 3D modelling, high-poly sculpting, texturing, rigging, character animation, clothing simulation, and final assembly in a real-time game engine. Students produce a complete game portfolio and a cinematic graduation trailer.

AI tools are integrated throughout — from AI-assisted concept generation and texture creation in early semesters to AI-powered real-time rendering in the final stage.

The Diploma in Game Design is a game art program — not a game programming course. You learn to create the visual and creative elements of games: characters, environments, animations, and cinematics. While students learn to import and set up assets in a real-time game engine, coding and programming are not part of this curriculum.

Graduates work across all game genres and platforms — mobile games, PC and console titles, AR/VR experiences, and indie games. The game art skills taught in this diploma are platform-agnostic.
